When you need this form
Bin rooms, event bump-outs and tenancy waste runs all need the same record. Stadium turnarounds fill skips in hours. Office floors need general, recycling and organics separated correctly or the building's diversion reporting falls apart. Manual handling, sharps and overloaded bins are the everyday risks. Recording the collection, the streams and any hazard is how a contractor shows the run was done properly.
Waste is one of the few cleaning tasks a client measures in numbers. Photos of separated streams and a timestamped completion give a building manager the evidence behind their sustainability reporting, and give an event organiser proof the venue was cleared before handback. A tick on a run sheet cannot do either.
What good looks like
- Each stream handled separately: general, commingled recycling, organics, cardboard.
- Bin room left clean, bins returned and liners replaced after collection.
- Contamination noted with a photo of the offending bin and location.
- Manual handling hazards and sharps reported before the run continues.
- Completion time and supervisor sign-off recorded for the run.
Waste & recycling, answered
Is this a PDF or Word template?
Neither. It is a live form: your crew opens it on their phones, ticks it through, attaches photos and signs on the glass. Every submission is timestamped, GPS-pinned and stored as proof.
What should a waste and recycling record include?
The streams collected, the areas covered, bin condition, any contamination found, hazards reported and the completion time with sign-off. Photos give building managers the evidence they need for waste and diversion reporting.
Why record waste collection separately from general cleaning?
Because waste carries its own risks and its own reporting. Manual handling and contamination need to be logged where they happen, and clients often ask for stream data that a general cleaning checklist never captures.
