When you need this form

Cleaning crews working airside pass through controlled points every shift, carrying identification cards and often escorting equipment through screening. This log records who entered, which card was presented and checked, which zones were worked, and the security and biosecurity checks completed on the way in and out. Airport operators run tight access regimes and audit their contractors against them constantly.

Expiring cards, unescorted visitors and missed biosecurity checks are the exceptions that cost contracts. Capturing card details and expiry at the point of entry means an expired card is caught before someone walks through the door, not at the next audit. The record is timestamped, location-pinned and authorised, so the operator can reconstruct any shift on request.

What good looks like

  • Each worker listed with card number and expiry checked, not assumed.
  • Access point, zones entered and time in and out recorded.
  • Escort details captured where a worker is not independently authorised.
  • Biosecurity checks confirmed for waste, equipment and cross-terminal movements.
  • Exceptions logged with photos, and authorised sign-off closing the shift.

Airside access & security-pass (ASIC) log, answered

Is this a PDF or Word template?

Neither. It is a live form: your crew opens it on their phones, ticks it through, attaches photos and signs on the glass. Every submission is timestamped, GPS-pinned and stored as proof.

What does an airside access log need to record?

Each worker, their security card number and expiry, the access point used, zones entered, times in and out, escort arrangements, biosecurity checks and any exceptions. An authorised sign-off closes the shift.

Why do airport contractors need security pass records?

Operators must know exactly who was airside and when. Contractors that can produce card checks, zone entries and exceptions on demand keep their access privileges; those that cannot are the ones pulled up in audits.
